Want to taste the best burger?
You have to try Grill’d burgers and definitely will agree with what I
have to say.
We were greeted and seated immediately
at our table with enthusiastic service and left with their menu to
decide what to order – you have the choice to eat either inside or
outside. The hardest part was to decide which burger to eat. Grill’d has
a plethora of burgers to suit anybody’s taste… seriously!
After reading their selection of burgers, I have finally made a choice
‘The Mighty’ – believe me, selecting it wasn’t easy, all burgers sounded
too good. Then of course, with burgers, you have to have chips as well.
Again… Grill’d outdid themselves, you can
select what we’re more accustomed to, chips from our golden spud or
more adventurous sweet potato, zucchini or avocado chips.
I really had
no clue what to choose but had a bit of help from their staff when
ordering my burger, he actually recommended me to
try ‘Chips Share Plate’ where you can get potato, sweet potato and
zucchini chips served with a trio of chip dips (sweet chilli mayo,
herbed mayo and hot chilli mayo) all too delicious – my favourite would
have to be sweet potato.
So let me tell you that ‘The
Mighty’ burger was not a disappointment. The burger consists of your
beef of course, with tasty cheese, bacon, egg, beetroot (you have to
have beetroot in your burger) with salad and their mayo sauce. Okay, the
burger is a little dearer than your fast food
burgers, but the taste is mightier than the burger and you definitely
needed two hands to hold that burger. All ingredients are bought fresh
from local farmers, which comes to my next exciting news to share with
you.
Every customer (not as in per table) when
ordering, each receives a token (it’s a bottle cap) where you have the
choice to donate that token to one of the three local communities or
cause – three jars with individual labels on them. At the end of every
month, Grill’d donates $500 to the chosen three,
where they split the $500 - $300 goes to the one that receives the most
tokens and $100 each for the other two. They change the three selected
local communities or cause every 12 months. So while you’re sinking your
teeth in their wholesome burgers, you know
that Grill’d is sharing their profits with the locals as well… WIN:WIN.
Also, if you have children with you, Grill’d is conveniently located
next to ‘My Funland’ where your children can go out and play within
supervising distance while you’re enjoying your
meal without the hassles of hurrying. And on top of that, there is no
need to concern yourself trying to find parking, Stockland Shellharbour
have over 3000 outdoor and indoor FREE parking spaces available.
