HOUSE OF MIRRORS - SYDNEY FESTIVAL.
Sydney Festival has been running for 41 years that guarantees the young and old fun times during January every year. This is the perfect opportunity for locals and tourists to see Sydney at it’s best when crisscrossing the city and enjoying the many free activities on offer or ticketed events. So grab or download a copy of the brochure where you will find ‘Calendar of Events’ section to find out which activities are free or ticketed, dates and time so you can plan your own personalised itinerary to enjoy an adventurous day that will put a smile on your face. One of the events I have attended to at for the Sydney Festival for 2017 is ‘House of Mirrors’. It is a maze of super-sized mirrors arranged in a labyrinth. I have read the article before attending House of Mirrors and it stated that it is hard to navigate your way out. Okay, so here is my perspective, we arrived at Hyde Park only to find that House of Mirrors was rather small in size – it’s only 400 square metres. We didn’t take long waiting in line, perhaps ten minutes and then we entered the maze. I was impressed with the maze, no special effects, just mirrors arranged in such a way, that you’re not too sure if the person in front of you is real or a reflection in the mirror. So you’re walking ever so carefully, due to the optical illusion, so you won’t look like a fool and walk into a mirror. However, finding your way out was too easy – it took us only ten minutes to exit. Perhaps it was because we did the walk during daylight when we did it and that it may be more of a challenge at night? But I do strongly advise to give this event a go. It only costs $10 per head and starts from 4.30pm till 11pm. If you want to experience something unique, bizarre, fun and exciting, House of Mirrors is the treat you’re looking for at an affordable price.
