We stayed at Pokolbin Village for our Summer holiday
with other family members. Amongst the specialty shops available at
Pokolbin Village and within walking distance from our villa, there is
‘Buon Cibo Ristorante’ that is opened from 8am,
7 days for breakfast and lunch and 6pm for dinner Friday to Monday.
We did want to go there for dinner on a Tuesday
night, only to discover it’s not opened – have no clue as to why?
However, we did have the dining experience for breakfast the following
day.
The place has a casual, relaxed feel to it and family-friendly. We were
greeted immediately by a waitress and shown to our table. What wins me
over mostly is the size of the table – I do love a good-sized table.
I
selected ‘Buttermilk Pancakes’ – three decent
sized pancakes served with maple syrup, banana and fresh berries and a
long black coffee to go with it. My two daughters had the same one with
apple juice and the other with pineapple juice. We didn’t have to wait
long for our food and the serving was the
right amount, delicious and the perfect way to start your day. My wife
had ‘Classic Breakfast’ with two poached eggs (a choice of poached,
scrambled or fried) with bacon and toasted sour dough.
What amazed me
was that they are flexible. We had a toddler but
there was nothing on the menu that would suit her to eat. We asked the
waitress if they can make raisin toast and a baby-cino? Without any
hesitation, the waitress said that it’s not a problem and that they
could make it – it sure put a smile on the little
one’s face, she looked like a queen, seated in a high-chair that the
waitress had provided. The prices are at an affordable price and even
offer take-aways.
